Ladies Lil D is single again!!!

Gail Nashandi

All suspicions started with the rapper/singer's (Lil D) tweets and facebook updates earlier in the year that seemed to have sparked everybody's attention, not only us, and raising questions whether the star has broken up with his long-time girlfriend Jessica or his recent squeeze Gail Nashandi. We followed the two's profiles long enough to have come to certain conclusions. We found plenty of tweets connecting the two, but sampled a few we would like you to look at. Here is a sample, and our conclusion:

Interview with Ru CuteGeek

"Ru CuteGeek"
We caught up with the raptress, who shot to fame in 2011 after stirring a controversy with the award winning single titled "Million Dollar Chick" at the NAMAs, for an interview. Ru is nominated yet again for the NAMAs, and this time in the Best Hip Hop category.

Maszanga In The Run For Best Hip Hop artist of The Year???

Last night at the NAMAs' Nomination show the judges shocked the Namibian industry when they announced the nominees for the Best Hip Hop category as follows:

BEST RAP / HIP-HOP

Dice Sticks & Stones
Ru (CuteGeek) Sanity
Maszanga Onojesa Mbure
Rush We Chilling
061 Music Click Song
Stitch Keep It Alive
This article is about the cultural movement and the genre that is Hip hop in Namibia. We have Hip Hop artists that have worked very hard to build Hip Hop music in Namibia, and for us the award shows are a defining moment in music. It is a way to show the public what Hip Hop has been up to for the year 2012, and we've had great Hip Hop album releases from typical Hip Hop artists within our boarders. What does this say about Hip Hop in Namibia when a kwaito group like Maszanga is representing the Hip Hop category at the NAMA Award show? J-Black released his album "My Time" in 2012 (although he didn't enter the awards for his own reasons) and KaniBal released his album "R.E.B.E.L" in 2012, these are names we should be seeing representing Hip Hop at the Awards because they are Hip Hop artists. How do you find an artist(s) who is nominated in Best Shambo, Best RnB, Best Traditional, Best Soukous/Kwasa, and Best Regae in the Hip Hop category when you're indecisive of what genre you're doing? Doing a Hip Hop song does not make you deserving of the title Hip Hop ARTIST of the year when you are not even a Hip Hop artist.

Rapper Stitch welcomes son

"rapper Stitch with baby mama Edith Forbes"
The Namibian hip hop/rap sensation Julian "Stitch" Martin welcomed his newborn son yesterday (March, 10) with long-time on & off girlfriend Edith Forbes. The couple named their son Lebron Luther Martin (after the great Martin Luther King we hope?)! Stitch updated his Facebook status yesterday (March, 11), saying "*Daddy's lil bundle of joy* ♥ Lebron Luther Martin ♥". This is a couple of months after Edith allegedly stabbed Stitch over another woman (identity unknown), some time last year. Could this be the reason why we've seen the heavily pregnant Edith at every event that Sitch was invited to? Well, Congrats Stitch, welcome to fatherhood!!!
