Gobabis underground rapper Ray AKA Rayvolution has had people nodding to his sounds, since the WAHHN platform was created for rappers to be heard in Namibia. The winner of the WAHHN competition that was launched when KaniBal dropped a beat for anyone in the group to lace, and left the public to vote for who they were feeling the most.

The rise of Unknown Division

The newly recognized rap group Unknown Division was started in June 2012, by the founding members Marven SouthGate and Lo Ski with RUK as their main producer, under Infinity Records. The members of the group Lo ski and Marven SouthGate are co-producers under the independent Label as well.

Hip Hop & RnB duo BK


"Hip Hop & RnB duo BK"

BK is a Hip Hop and RnB girl group, comprised of Kaz "Brooklyn" Mwangala and Selma "Kimorah" Neshiko. The 21 year old final year students at Polytechnic of Namibia got together as a band in 2010 when they were both in their first year of college while studying Journalism and communication technology. The sexy duo has released 8 singles, namely; Baby, Work It Out, Intro, Sexy, Drop It Low, Get Ready, I Can and Away. Work It Out was previously featured for 4 weeks on the local Hip Hop & RnB countdown on Radio Energy and Get Ready has been featured on radio stations in Arizona, USA and in Zambia.

Upcoming rapper to look out for: Stix

Honouring unrecognised talent;  Rapper Stix signed to Ekia Records, released a mixtape under the label titled "April Fool's" in 2011 that included tracks like Dit Isi LeweIn Da Hood and Don't Push Me. The rapper currently has a chart topping single on air titled Gone featuring PLamborghini, which he also produced. This is one of the strong contenders of the upcoming rappers within Namibia.

The TRIBE a Hip Hop/Rap group consisting of arguably the best MCs in Namibia, who happen to be from different tribes. The members of the group are self-proclaimed illest rapper K.K (of Damara//Herero decent), MC RAY (of Setswana/Xhosa decent), outspoken J-Black (of Herero decent) and Baller-holics rapper Stitch (of Coloured/wambo decent). Signed under T.M.G (Tribe Music Group) owned by the four rappers. Currently working to find their collective voice as a group, The TRIBE has recorded their first single "Extraordinary Forever", their upcoming E.P "W.A.T.T (We Are The Tribe)" followed by their album "Ordinary Is Boring".
